Another Baby Shower!

Pattie's friends from both Palos Verdes and Pasadena threw me the most BEAUTIFUL shower last weekend! It was held at her friend Connie's beautiful home in Arcadia. The hostess' were so generous and so creative with the food and all the little details. We received some amazing gifts and left feeling very blessed. Thank you so much for all who came and shared in this special day with me. We received our re-upholstered glider from Chuck and Pattie and my new UPPA BABY stroller from my mom and dad. I can't wait to push Dillan around in it! Check out pictures from this LOVELY shower:)

My closest friends from Point Loma threw me the most special, intimate shower last weekend. They made me feel so special from the cute invitation, the amazing food, and the fun games. Dillan scored some great stuff! We feel so loved:) Thanks Kate, Grace, Lexy, Jamie, and Steph for making my shower so special. I appreciate every single detail and thought that went into it. Below are some pictures of Dillan and I's fun day!

2 trimesters down.....1 more to go

The months keep coming and going. I am now at 28 weeks....officially 7 months and entering my third and final trimester. As I enter into the home stretch I will share some reflections on the past 2 trimesters. My first 12 weeks was pretty much a breeze. I didn't really get sick, however I was VERY tired! It is amazing how as soon as you hit week 13, you just get this boost of energy back! The 2nd trimester was awesome! I felt like I could run a marathon! I was working out a ton, and I started to show, which is the most fun part of being pregnant! I also have had the joy of feeling Dillan move inside me everyday. Every time he kicks (which is pretty much every 5 minutes) I just giggle out loud. There is nothing else to compare it to, it's just amazing. As I look ahead, these are the things I am afraid of: not sleeping well, getting swollen and huge, being hot all the time, and pushing a baby out of my you know what!!!!!!!! I thank Jesus every single day for the life that is growing inside me. I know that Dillan is going to bring Dusty and I to a whole new level of love. I pray that I will better understand his love for me, His child, when I have one of my own. So, here is to 12 more weeks until I see my baby boy and hold him in my arms:) (Clink, Clink.....I really wish I had a glass of wine to cheers with)

Dillan is the size of a cabbage (just in time for St. Patty's Day)

A little piece of heaven.....Palm Desert

We were able to escape to Palm Desert last weekend with our friends Sarah and Jimmy. It was the first time this pregnant belly has seen the sun....and boy did it need it! We had such a blast, especially since James, Sarah and Jimmy's baby, is the cutest baby you have ever seen. If Dillan is anything like James, we will be in heaven. Laying out, bbqing, croquet, and walks at sunset added up to a perfect, relaxing weekend. Wish I was still there! Below are some pics of the weekend.

The Perfect Get Up!!!!!

Okay, so I pretty much have considered myself so blessed thus far in my pregnancy. I feel great!!! I didn't get sick, I didn't have any food aversions, I lost weight in my first trimester....I mean what more could a girl ask for? Well, all of you mom's out there know that the one DOWNER to being pregnant is the strain on the wallet to buy new maternity clothes. As fun as it is to see your belly grow, it's not so fun to throw down cash for clothes because you can't get your fat a** in your normal clothes. Especially if you work! Buying maternity work suits or clothes can cost a ton of money. I have to say that I think the biggest blessing so far (other than a healthy baby) is the fact that I get to wear scrubs everyday to work!!!!!!! Not only are they free (well, I sort of steal them from hospitals.....shhhhh, don't tell anyone), but they are pretty much the most comfortable things in the world. In other words, I get to wear pajamas to work and it is totally normal!!!!!  As you can see from the pics below......I AM BLESSED!!!!!!

Drawstring....YES PLEASE!!!!!
One happy prego:)

A picture to satisfy those hungry readers:)

6 months have come and gone and this whole thing is starting to become VERY REAL!!!!!! I am getting bigger by the day and Dillan is basically the karate kid. I feel him kick all the time, especially at night. Dusty and I officially said goodbye to our guest room and moved all the furniture out and even cleared half the closet for our little guy (you have no idea what dedication this took:) The baby's room is now painted and we've put up the chair rail. We just have to do the bathroom and then it will be ready to have stuff moved in as we receive it. I will send pictures of the finished product on my next posting. For now, feast your eyes upon the "bellair" as we like to call it in the Davis family.

24 weeks and growing....Dillan is the length of an ear of corn:)

I am going to be an AUNTIE......again!!!

I became an auntie for the first time when little Charlie was born, and now I am going to be an auntie on my side.......Drew and Jordyn are prego!!!!! Little Dillan is going to be so happy to have a cousin only 11 weeks younger than him:) Since Drew and Jordyn celebrated Christmas in Colorado this year, we got a belated Christmas gift from them a week later! A little onesie for Dillan to wear that will boast of his love for his cousin. God is good and the Davis family will add two little ones this summer. Needless to say, Yaya and Papa have never been more excited!!!!!!! Will it be a boy or girl????? We will find out soon!

Our favorite Christmas Gift!!

One HAPPY fam!
