9 months

I am a little late on this post, but better late than never! Life seems to be getting busier and busier. I am now back to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays so trying to keep current is getting a little bit more challenging! Dillan turned 9 months on March 4th and we have been having a great month! The weather has been so nice that we have been spending a lot of time outside. We go to the beach and the park and lots of walks with Dillan's sidekick, Jax. Of course there have been a lot more changes this month as well. Our little guy is talking a lot! Lots of babbling and dada, baba, that sort of thing. He loves to laugh! Making animal sounds really gets him going:) He has a ton of hair and sometimes I put gel in it and is soooo cute! He is getting his two upper teeth right now and it seriously makes him look so old! Dillan is pulling himself up on everything and moving around the furniture. I don't think we are too far off from his first steps which is crazy....he is such a mover and shaker. He is pretty much eating all table food and has graduated from baby food. He is such a good eater! This month was the first time Dillan has gotten sick, which was such a bummer, but we also feel so blessed that he has been so healthy his first 9 months of life. But it was a double whammy with both ears infected.....he has been such a trooper though and we are almost out of the woods. I am seriously just so in love with my son and he brings me more joy that I EVER thought imaginable. Check him out!

Beach Day with my buddies

The weather has been so amazing this week in Orange County, so we have been taking advantage and getting outside every second we can. Dillan LOVES to be outside. He points at everything and I get to explain what it is and what purpose it serves in this world:) We have so much fun exploring the world around us. This week on St Patty's Day a crew of us headed down to San Clemente and enjoyed a day in the sun. Dillan had so much fun playing with his buddies and playing in the sand (which includes eating it:) We are so blessed by where we live and the friends we do life with! Check out Dilly hangin with his buds....

Obsessed with Daddy!

We are having so much fun with Dillan. This is by far our most favorite stage, especially for Dusty. Dillan is so into his daddy. When Dust comes home from work, Dillan squeals with delight! They go on walks together, play together, and Dust loves showing Dillan the world. Dillan and I just took a trip to northern California and when Dust picked us up from the airport, Dillan was SOOOOO happy. He laughed and laughed. It melted my heart! Check out the Daddy and Dilly team!

8 months!

Dillan turned 8 months while we in Australia. I still have to pinch myself sometimes because I just can't believe that he is already 8 months! We are having SO much fun with our little man. This stage has been the best yet. He is turning into a little boy with a HUGE personality and watching it all develop in front of me everyday is God's greatest gift. Dillan has changed physically....gotten much heavier, lots more hair, two bottom teeth, and the strength of a 2 year old! He has also started to develop quite the temper:) He doesn't like when mommy takes things away! My favorite thing to do is watch Dusty and Dillan "roughhouse." Dillan squeals with laughter and it just melts my heart. As the time passes and Dillan gets older and older, I just fall more and more in love with him. He is crawling so fast now! He is starting to climb stairs and pulls himself up to the coffee table and his leap frog music table. He is also eating all new sorts of things! He loves avocado and yogurt! Dillan is healthy and strong and for that we are grateful everyday to Jesus! Check out my 8 MONTH OLD!

LOVE

Happy Valentines Day to all! Dusty and I are celebrating our 8th Valentines Day as a couple and our first one as a family of 3! Let me just say it was much sweeter with Dilly here! We started our day by letting daddy sleep in. I was able to get some one on one time with my funny little valentine. We took some pictures and had some heart shaped waffles. We then went to church and celebrated the author of love, our Savior. It was good to worship in His house and recognize that he loves us so well. My deepest desire is to be more and more like him on a daily basis. It was so incredibly beautiful today! We took advantage of the amazing weather and went down to Salt Creek for a family picnic. My heart has never been this full. I had my three boys, an amazing sunny day, and the ocean at my fingertips. Happy Valentines Day!

AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!!!!

Australia was simply amazing. We were so blessed by the opportunity to go and have an all expense paid trip to our dream location. We missed Dillan beyond what words could even describe. We skyped with him everyday, but it was simply not enough. I needed him in my arms! We made it through the 9 long days and kept ourselves busy with parties, wine tasting, safari night, climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge, getting treated at the spa, adventuring to the Blue Mountains, visiting Manly Beach, and touring the city. Federated treated us like ROYALTY! We didn't pay for anything! We were able to do and experience things that we would have never been able to had we gone to Australia on our own and for that we are so thankful! We had an unforgettable last night at the black tie gala and the whole evening was so breathtaking. Our highlights of the trip were petting the koala bears, hiking all the way to top of the bridge and having the most amazing views ever, and spending 9 quality days together. Thank you for your prayers for safety. We were happily reunited with our little guy at LAX and cried lots of tears of joy to be back! Enjoy the slideshow of pics. They are for the most part in chronoligical order of what we did everyday....

Check out my mover and shaker

So this video is long, but it will give you a taste of the amazing little man I have on my hands. He is into everything now and can move so fast through the house. There is no turning your back on him. He is now lifting himself up to a standing position and is starting to throw a fit if you take something away that he wants. I have a feeling he is going to be a little like his mama:) I love him!

ps....Australia post is coming soon!
