Maui!

Dusty and I got to take an amazing vacation JUST THE TWO OF US to Maui! We had a week with our timeshare that we were able to trade and so we decided that instead of doing a big 30th birthday celebration for me, we would do a trip just he and I. We stayed at the Marriott Ocean Club on Kanapali Beach in Maui. Dusty and I are so blessed to have to sets of parents, that are not only capable of watching our boys, but who also genuinely enjoy spending time with them and investing in their lives. So with that knowledge and confidence, it was bon voyage for Kim and Dust! This was honestly the BEST trip. The hardest decision we had to make the whole time was where we were going to lay out and where we wanted to eat dinner:) To be able to go to dinner and have unadulterated conversation was such a dream. Don't get me wrong, I love talking about trucks, swimming, and scooters, but it was nice to have a change of pace and talk about feelings, our dreams, work, the future, you know...ADULT THINGS:) We got the BEST weather! It was beautiful everyday. We had a mini kitchen in our condo, so we ate breakfast and lunch there everyday and then went out to nice dinners. YUM! My favorite was a Japanese restaurant called Sensei. We took long walks, went in the hot tub every morning and night, went snorkeling and saw a sea turtle, saw whales jumping almost everyday, I read three books, and just about lived in a dream for a week. We missed our boys a ton and were ready to come home when it was time. This trip provided rest a rejuvenation for Dusty and I and we were so GRATEFUL to have had the opportunity to take the trip. Thanks Papa and Yaya and Oly and Peej for watching our boys and allowing us this luxury!

Supper Club Season 2!

It is season 2 of supper club and it's everyone turn to host again! So the Moffett's took the reins and decided it was time for some good BREAKFAST!!!!! Who doesn't like breakfast for dinner once in awhile, and more importantly, who doesn't like to wear their pajamas to dinner??? We split up the meal and showed up to an awesome spread, especially the drink bar! Mimosa, Belini, or a good ole bloody mary......The choices hit the spot! I made my grammy's potato supreme dish and the devilish, sinful monkey bread. It was a great evening among our friends.

Giada night

Our cooking club decided it was time to stray away from Barefoot Contessa and venture out into other well-known cooks. The consensus was Giada De Laurentiis and some good ole fashion Italian cooking would hit the spot. We switched up the venue to the Bettino's and Les set a BEAUTIFUL table. We split up the meal and FEASTED! I was in charge of appetizers and made three different tasty treats. The first was a stuffed mini bell pepper, then I did a mini meatball slider, and last a delish bruschetta! Steph made yummy garlic bread and a delicious spinach salad. Kar did the main dish of Chicken Marsala and Jordy made a yummy orecchiette pasta. Les wrapped it up with a SUPERB lemon cheesecake. There is something about gathering over a well cooked meal and enjoying one another's company and enjoying adult conversation....all in all the perfect evening! Next up?? Bobby Flay BBQ at the Davis'!
