Dillan's 3rd birthday....PIRATE PARTY!

When I first asked Dillan what kind of party he wanted for his 3rd birthday a few months ago, he said "a PIRATE party" with absolutely no hesitation! I guess this little guy really knows what he wants:) Well, I got super duper lucky, because after determining we were going pirate, Pattie told me that some of her close friends had thrown their grandkids pirate parties and they had a bunch of stuff I could borrow....YEAH! I was PLEASANTLY surprised when she brought three bins full of stuff to decorate with! It was SOOOO fun to see how excited Dillan was when I had set everything up. The party included a treasure hunt orchestrated by Dusty where the kids all wore their pirate hats and eye patches. Literally, I could die at the cuteness of this! He took them all over our neighborhood collecting "relics" and then at the end they turned their relics in for the real treasure...CANDY! Dillan was so into the whole day and the kids all had a blast! Can't believe my baby is 3 years old. Thanking God for a year full of health, growth, lots of laughter, and fun memories. I am really looking forward to the year ahead with Dillan and Dusty and I couldn't be more proud of who he is. Love you Dillan Davis!

Palm Desert....Davis edition

It was time for our annual trip out to the desert with my family! I love this time of year and going to the desert is a HUGE highlight! It is crazy to look back over the year and see how much the kids have grown from the previous year. This year, Dillan and Emery kept themselves entertained, which basically means they are like teenagers now. Connor was walking all around and Wyatt boy was scootin around town. My mom and dad do such a great job preppin for the trip. We get the best unit, my mom fixes unreal meals, and they help out so much with the kids. We missed Drew and Whitna during the week, but were so glad they could join us on the weekend. The days were filled with sunshine, the pool, naps, more pool, running on the golf course, yummy food, more sunshine, more pool and LOTS OF FUN AND LAUGHTER! So grateful to spend this week with family.....BLESSED!!!!

Mother's Day

Clearly I am a little late in my postings, but I wanted to give a shout out to my boys for making me a mommy! There are no words to capture how lucky and blessed I feel to be Dillan and Connor's mom. The saying that the days are long but the years are short are so true! Sometimes this being a mom thing is hard, but NOTHING brings me more joy than raising these two boys. For Mother's Day, the boys spoiled me! We went to the lake and had a yummy dinner and it was all in all a great day. Love these boys so much and thank God everyday He chose me to be their mommy:)

My workin' dog

Dusty built Dilly his own little work bench next to his in the garage and Dillan LOVES it out there. It's pretty much a daily occurrence for him to get all his gear on and get workin'! He asks what he can fix around the house and he is my workin dog! It's so fun to watch:)

Got all my tools!

"Mom, what needs fixin?"

Supper Club....Wine? Yes Please!

The Melrose's hosted a beautiful evening of yummy wine and delicious food. It was a wine pairing them, so each couple signed up for a dish with a wine to pair. We had a fabulous meal that started with Sparkling wine and an assortment of cheeses, nuts, and dried fruit. We then had a yummy appetizer greek salad that was paired a fume blanc brought by the Davis'. The next course was served up by the Lawson's, who brought amazing crabcakes and cole slaw paired with a Chardonnay. The main course was a filet of beef and potatoes with a Cabernet served by the amazing hosts! Lastly, we brought a double chocolate bundt cake with a ganache glaze paired with a Port wine. It was a fabulous meal and such a fun theme. Meg pulled out all the stops and all the little touches were so cute! We can't wait for the next club!
