Enter His Courts with Thanksgiving....

I love Thanksgiving for so many reasons, but mostly for the chance to gather together with family and share awesome time together. Oh.....and the FOOD!!!!!! This is the 3rd year we have hosted Thanksgiving and we love it! This year we had the pleasure of joining our families and my parents were able to come to our house with the Olson gang. I made my own brine this year and soaked my turkey for a whole day! It was SOOOO delicious! Everyone pitched in and brought stuff and the meal came together perfectly. The weather was so gorgeous and it allowed us to eat outside. My kiddos took naps so we were actually able to enjoy a nice, quiet, relaxing meal. As we do every year, we went around a shared what we were thankful for and it was SUCH a special time. Tears flowed, laughter was had, and memories were made. This year I am most thankful for my husband and EVERYTHING he does for our family. I am also full of gratitude for the fact that Jesus chose ME to be Dillan and Connor's mommy.....how lucky am I? I am surrounded by the most awesome boys in the world.

Girls Weekend in Morro Bay

Mom's getaway in Morro Bay 2012! This was the best trip ever and one we had all been counting down the days to....let's just say, these mommies needed a break! And oh what a break we had:) Sleeping in, cooking meals together, going out to eat, shopping, running and walking, a MOVIE...in a theatre, games, laughter, uninterrupted conversation, tears, tears, and more tears, prayer, and lots of LOVE! We had our famed photographer, Meghan Owens with us, so we decided to set up for a couple of group shots to try and capture a framer. The best ones are when Meg told us to do a sexy pose. We couldn't keep a straight face!! It took us like 5 tries and even then the results are priceless! Love each of these girls so much and am truly blessed by what each one adds to my life. They support me in my journey of being a great mom, wife, friend, daughter, and woman of God.

We had such a fun Halloween this year. We headed over to Ladera to the Bettino's house and trick or treated in their neighborhood. The kids did great and were so excited to get some candy! After every house Connor wanted to open the piece of candy he just got:) Love my little fireman and Buzz Lightyear!

Olson Annual Pumpkin Carving Party

The gang keeps growing! We started this years ago when there was only about 3 kids, and now there are too many to count! This year we had pumpkin carving, pumpkin bowling, costumes, chili, and LOTS of TREATS! It is so fun to see all the kids dressed up and getting bigger and bigger each year. As mine get older, it so fun to see them actually have an opinion about what they want to be. This year Dillan had no hesitation in wanting to be a fireman! We found one at Costco and he probably wore it almost everyday leading up to Halloween! Connor didn't get much choice this year, he was Buzz which is a hand me down:) But he rocked it anyway! We LOVE all of our friends and love this tradition.
