I am still in major denial that I have a 5 year old? It seems like just yesterday we found out we were pregnant with Dillan, and now here he is, 5 years old. Dillan has grown and changed so much this last year. Not only physically (he grew like 3 inches) but also developmentally. Going to preschool was huge. He has become more confident, willing to try new things, has learned so much! I am so proud of the little boy he is. Dillan has a servant's heart. He loves to help, especially with dinner. Watching him and Dusty in the kitchen warms my heart. Dusty is teaching him so much and his future wife will thank us:) As his fifth birthday approached, I asked Dilly what kind of party he wanted. Without hesitation he said "a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party at the beach." Well okay then, son....DONE! It was a beautiful day at Doheny Beach and the turtles were in full affect. I made turtle shells and nun chucks for all the kids. Pattie ordered masks off Etsy and voila.....we had some turtles on our hands. Now all we needed was the evil Shredder for them to attack. I found a video online on how to make a costume and with a lot of foil and a purple cape, it came together! I love celebrating! But I especially LOVE celebrating my kids. Creating special memories for them and with them brings me so much joy! Happy Birthday Dillan Davis, we love you so much!
