25 Days of Advent

So last year I started doing an advent calendar. I found these cute bags in the dollar bin at Target and then just stenciled on some numbers. My hope is to be able to reuse them every year:) Each day we do a different activity and the boys absolutely love it. Some are meaningful and some are just really fun! When you start your own family it is such a privilege to be able to start your own traditions. I know my activities will have to adapt as the kids get older, but I really hope to be able to do this every year! The main meaning is to remind ourselves of what the season of Advent is truly about....and that is that Christ was born.....in the most humble setting...a manger in a barn. The Savior was born and he came to life so that we may have life....abundant life! Merry Christmas indeed:)

2 months old!

Little missy turned two months during the Christmas season and so we of course had to have a holiday inspired photo shoot:) Santa leg warmers were a total must have this season as you can see. Birdie (Jordyn's mom) sent these to us and they were the CUTEST! Mackenzie is such a joy. At two months she is holding her head up....she is so strong! Sleeping from 10-5 and smiling so much. She sucks her index finger, which is so great because it is a self soother:) We haven't gotten a full laugh yet, but she is close! We love her so much!!

9th Annual Christmas Party!

Nic and I are hosted our 9th Annual Christmas Party! This year we decided to have no kids and let me know just state for the record....it was a very PLEASANT evening! Our families just keep growing and last year was complete chaos with all the kids running around. So we decided to go mellow this year and it was so fun and relaxing. I actually got to sit down and have adult conversations! Love these people and celebrating!

Irvine Railroad Park to see Santa!

I absolutely LOVE this tradition! The Irvine railroad is the cutest little train that takes you to see Santa and takes your picture. The lights are beautiful and the kids absolutely love it! Papa and Yaya came with us this year and all the kids sat with Santa and we had no tears...SUCCESS! It was SOOOO cold this year, which was really fun too. Another Christmas memory:)
