We just COULD NOT wait until our 20 week appointment, which is when you typically find out the sex of your baby. A couple of my friends had gone to this place where you can get an ultrasound as early as 13 weeks to find out the sex, so we made a run for it!!!!!! We planned a very special day that included our parents. I asked if my mom and Pattie would take the day off and come down to do some last minute Christmas shopping and Dusty asked the dad's to come down for a little holiday golf. We then planned for the six of us to meet up for a family dinner. When we met the mom's in the morning, we told them we were actually going to get an ultrasound and find out the sex of the baby. They were blown away and so excited. The ultrasound was so awesome. Within a minute, the technician got the right angle and said "Okay, this is a leg, this is another leg, and this IS NOT a leg!!!!" We were all so excited! The mom's were overjoyed and Dusty and I just sat there in awe as we watched our baby boy doing summersaults in my belly, scratching his face, and being very UN-SHY!!!!!!!! The experience was priceless and so fun to have our mom's there with us. Dusty took off, sworn to secrecy, to go play golf with the dad's. The girls took off to South Coast Plaza and went hog wild buying boy clothes all day. When we all met up for dinner we each gave our guy a "Christmas present" that they were to all open at the same time. Chuck was so grateful for the little boy outfit and just kept saying "thank you" until my dad's eyes got really big and he said "It's a boy???" and then Chuck finally got it saying "IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!" The dad's were over the moon and in Chuck's defense, it was dark in the restaurant:) It was such a fun day celebrating with our family and Dusty and I are just in heaven!
