The Power of Prayer and blessing of friends.....

I was so blessed last week by my closest girlfriends who came to my house to pray over baby Dillan and myself. It was such a special time to have my support system petition to God for a healthy baby, a smooth delivery, and the presence of Christ in the next couple of months as Dusty and I adjust to becoming first time parents. This night was a huge reminder to me of how truly blessed I am by the women that surround me on a daily basis. They make me laugh, they support me in my pursuit for Christ, they know how TO HAVE FUN, and they love me! Jesus created girlfriends to get us through life and I know these girls will love me and love Dillan for the remaining time we have here on earth. Thank you to the women who make my world go round! I love you each so much!

Dillan's Domain

Dillan's room has come together exactly how I envisioned which is so exciting! We are pretty much ready for him to come! I am just waiting on the rug, which may or may not come before he does. Here are some pictures to show you the progression from our formal guest room to Dillan's nursery! Dusty worked soooo hard with paint and the chair rail and putting all the furniture together! I can't wait to tell Dillan all about it! Hope you love it as much as I do!

Painting the room "cloud blue"

Dusty (with the help of Jimmy and Matt)
put up a chair rail which looks awesome!
We also did wainscoating in the bathroom

The day the crib came we were so excited!
We put it together as soon as we got it! Thanks
to Chuck and Pattie for the blessing of a beautiful
crib from Restoration Hardware

Alan Peviani came over to paint a
Bible verse in Dillan's room above the window.
It came out beautiful...Thanks Al!

My very dear friend Jamie put this verse in
my card for my baby shower and I fell in love with it.
The verse is from Ps 127:3 "Sons are a heritage
from the Lord, children a reward from Him."

Dust hanging shelves...he is so handy:)

The changing table wall unit we had custom built
is so awesome!!!!! We love it and it has a TON
of storage, which is great because Dillan already
has a ton of stuff:)

I got this glider on Craigslist for $75 and Pattie
got it reupholstered  in brown for a shower gift.
I can't wait to read all those books to Dillan. I think
I will be spending a lot of time in this chair:)

Dillan's crib!

The bay window which holds our packed
hospital bag and diaper bag....we are as ready
as we can be:)

The countdown begins...one more month baby!

So I am actually a little late in posting this because today I am officially 37 weeks! Dillan is now considered full term and if he decided to come a little early, everything should be all developed by now. I am now going to the doctor every week for a pelvic exam. At this week's appointment I was not dialated, but Ddog's head is down and he is in deliverin' position! Doc thinks he will come right around my due date....we shall see!! The family has placed bets on dates, so we will see who gets the final prize! I still am not quite ready for him to come and am looking forward to a couple more weeks of just relaxin before the little man graces us with his presence. My last day of work is tomorrow!!! HOLLA!!!!!!!!!

I literally feel like my skin is going
to crack open any minute! Can I get
any bigger???....Don't answer that!

The Ellen Show

As most of you have either seen, heard, or watched, we had an amazing time on the Ellen Show this week and were blessed beyond words at the amount of gifts we received. For those of you who haven't heard, here is the story of how we got tickets...
A couple of months ago I received a facebook message from my old Pt Loma roomate telling me that Ellen was doing a show for first time pregnant moms and that I should try and get tickets. So I went to the website and applied to be on the show and also sent an email to Jordyn (my sister in law), and my 2 best best friends, Leslie and Steph telling them to try and get tickets as well. So to make a long story short, I got a call the next day from the show and they interviewed me over the phone and then asked if I wanted to be on the show!!!! I was so excited! I asked her if I could just have 4 tickets for all of us and she said yes!
The day was filled with anticipation and LOTS of waiting, but when it was finally time to enter the studio and tape the show it became apparent that it was going to be WELL worth the wait! When we first entered I was being really goofy and dancing and they told me to sit on the aisle which was awesome because I totally got to dance with Ellen when she came up the stairs. For those of you who didn't get to see the show, here is a rundown of the items we received: a brand new Fridgedare dishwasher, a daiper bag, monitor, bottles, slew of organic baby products, baby bjourn, shoes, hats and blankets, a car seat, $100 to Shutterfly and a digital camera, a crib and bedding from Target, 6 months of diapers, and an Uppa Baby Stroller!  It was one of the most fun, exciting days I have had and I was so grateful to get to spend it with my three fellow preggers! We will remember this memory forever! We didn't get to take a camera in the studio, so we didn't get to take too many pics, but here are a few from the day!

Jord and Les on the way up!

Steph and Kim!

The Pregos:
Jordyn: 25 weeks, Les: 20 weeks,
Kim: 36 weeks, & Steph: 19 weeks
