Swimming Lessons!

We have our annual desert trip coming up in May, so I was anxious to get the boys, especially Dilly, in swim lessons. We did the Parent and Me class at Aquawave with Dillan when he was little, so we wanted Connor do it as well. And Dillan is so close to swimming on his own, that I thought a few private lessons would do the trick. I love this place! The teachers are so nice and the boys truly LOVE it!

Walkin man

Connor had definitely started to take some steps before we went to Maui, but his preferred mode of transportation was still crawling. However, when we came back, he was a full walkin' man! What a cutie!!!!!!!

Maui!

Dusty and I got to take an amazing vacation JUST THE TWO OF US to Maui! We had a week with our timeshare that we were able to trade and so we decided that instead of doing a big 30th birthday celebration for me, we would do a trip just he and I. We stayed at the Marriott Ocean Club on Kanapali Beach in Maui. Dusty and I are so blessed to have to sets of parents, that are not only capable of watching our boys, but who also genuinely enjoy spending time with them and investing in their lives. So with that knowledge and confidence, it was bon voyage for Kim and Dust! This was honestly the BEST trip. The hardest decision we had to make the whole time was where we were going to lay out and where we wanted to eat dinner:) To be able to go to dinner and have unadulterated conversation was such a dream. Don't get me wrong, I love talking about trucks, swimming, and scooters, but it was nice to have a change of pace and talk about feelings, our dreams, work, the future, you know...ADULT THINGS:) We got the BEST weather! It was beautiful everyday. We had a mini kitchen in our condo, so we ate breakfast and lunch there everyday and then went out to nice dinners. YUM! My favorite was a Japanese restaurant called Sensei. We took long walks, went in the hot tub every morning and night, went snorkeling and saw a sea turtle, saw whales jumping almost everyday, I read three books, and just about lived in a dream for a week. We missed our boys a ton and were ready to come home when it was time. This trip provided rest a rejuvenation for Dusty and I and we were so GRATEFUL to have had the opportunity to take the trip. Thanks Papa and Yaya and Oly and Peej for watching our boys and allowing us this luxury!
