24 weeks

6 months has come and gone (of course very quickly) and I have a feeling that the last 4 months are going to go even faster! After all, we have Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Years, and then I am going to have a baby!!!!! Dusty and I are getting more and more excited to meet Connor. Here is what is on my mind lately:
-getting a little anxious that I haven't done ANYTHING in Connor's room! I can't find any bedding I like for him. Need to start getting serious!
-this child DOES NOT stop moving! I don't ever remember Dillan moving this much this early on. Connor is all over the place, especially early in the morning when I am trying to sleep. Sign of things to come??? HOPEFULLY NOT!
-I am so excited this baby is a boy! When we are out and about, I will see little brothers out and playing together and I am so excited for the bond that Dillan and Connor will share.
-I am excited for labor. I know that might sound wierd....BUT, despite having a very long labor, I LOVED GIVING BIRTH! And this time around I somewhat know what to expect, and I get so excited for the whole process of bringing my little boy from the inside to the outside! Just praying he isn't as huge as his older brother

That is all for now! Connor is the size of a rutabaga (whatever that is:) All I know is he is getting bigger, which means his mommy is getting bigger. Check it out!

Carving Pumpkins

We have our big party on Saturday, but we had to do a little family pumpkin carving before the main event. Dusty performed his standard jack-o-lantern carving, while I attempted a more sophisticated carving. We had so much fun and Dillan wanted to get his hands dirty for about a second, then it was off to hang with his toys!

Dust and I have been saving up to get Disneyland passes for awhile now. We had them when we first got married, and it was so fun. Multiply that fun times a billion and that will sort of capture how fun it is to take Dillan. He just lights up when he sees Mickey Mouse and loves the rides...especially any ride where he can drive:) We went last Friday night and got a front row seat to the parade. Dillan wasn't sure at first because it was really loud, but as soon as he saw all his favorite characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show he was a happy camper. He was dancing and waving and just LOVING the moment. What a blessing that we get to create these memories with Dillan. We will even get to take Connor after February!!!!!!!

I still remember when I was pregnant with Dillan, everyone would say "how is your dog going to react??" I think they were asking more out of concern of Jax being a jealous doggie versus what has actually happened: "what if your son is obsessed with your dog and your dog is a skittish wierdo?" Seriously, Dillan is ENTHRALLED with his doggie. Every morning when we wake up, the first thing he wants to know is where is Jax. He wants to give him kisses all the time (which inevitably turns into nasty open mouth tongue kisses). I mean Jax was literally Dillan's first word! It is so cute to see him chase Jax around and watch Jax try to scramble to safety. The other day when we were stuck inside due to the rain, we turned our garage into a temporary back yard. We played golf, basketball, and had wagon rides. Dillan INSISTED Jax ride along. Hopefully Jax will not get to0 overwhelmed or anxious by the amount of attention his adoringly little owner gives him!

Isn't this fun???

Fall is here....Pumpkin Patch time!

I still remember this time last year.... being SO excited to take our little man to the pumpkin patch. He was SOOO little then and we had to hold him on each "prop" to take a picture. This year he was running amuck and trying to pick up all the pumpkins:) What a difference a year can make! Last year I felt fat trying to get my prego weight off and this year, I am fat again....WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!! We took two trips to the patch this year. The first was with all of our best buds and it was hotter than hell! (not that I would know:) The 2nd trip was with daddy and it was the perfect fall day! Creating memories like this is one of the most joyful parts of being a mom. Seeing Dillan discover the world and being so happy to be out and about it the BEST! Next year we will have two boys running amuck and HOPEFULLY I won't be fat:) Check out the cutie patootie!

The NAME!!!!!!!

We have decided on a name for our next son and we LOVE IT! Dillan's little brother will be called Connor Charles Olson. The meaning of Connor in Irish is strong willed and hound lover (he will love JAX:) In the Scottish version it means an athletic and fun person. I just picture this strong willed, feisty CONMAN. We named the middle name after his Oly, Dusty's dad, and couldn't be more proud that he will carry on Chuck's legacy one day. So now we can call our son by his name:) I can't wait to meet him!

Supper Club

Dusty is still really close with a lot of his friends from high school, which is pretty rare. I absolutely love this because when they all get together they blab about their glory days and how cool they thought they were:) The other plus is that I love all of their wives! Whenever we get together, we all have so much fun and lots of laughter is shared. A couple had the brilliant idea of starting a supper club that gets together every couple of months. The couple that hosts declares a theme and provides the main dish, while everyone else brings a dish to share and finds a killer outfit to match the theme. This month was hosted by the Melrose's and the theme was Yacht Club. Megan (and Todd:) did an INCREDIBLE job hosting and everything was perfect down to every little detail! The food was DELICIOUS! We had lobster and salmon, rice pilaf, corn on the cob, yummy salad, and breadsticks. That was followed by a dessert that knocked our socks off....CREPES! The night was wrapped up chatting by the firepit and just enjoying each other's company. Can't wait for the next club....Davis' hosting Mafia night????
