What's in a name?

When Dusty and I found out we were having a boy the first time around, we knew immediately what his name would be. That was that. No further discussion needed and we were so excited to share it with the world. That is not the case this time around....WE ARE STRUGGLING! I guess we just had way more girl names picked out then boy ones. We throw around ones we like, but nothing sticks out like THAT IS IT!!!!! I love looking up the meaning of names and wonder, is that what he will be like? Will he be strong willed? An advancer? Will he be a son of the sea? Anyways, we have two that are front runners and hopefully the reveal will come soon:)

Dillan's first swim lesson

Dillan loves the water and so we decided to join a parent and me swim class once a week at the Aqua Wave Swim school by our house. It is taught by Marla, who is so great with the kids, and there are five other kiddos in his class. They play games and then she works one on one with each kid, giving the parents tips on how to help teach your child to swim. Dillan was in absolute swim heaven. What a fun adventure! Look at my cute little fishy!

Houseboating with the Loma crew

It has been 3 years since our last house boating adventure, so we decided we were well past due for a Loma crew reunion. This trip includes an amazing weekend on the Mayberry H2O (Lexie's parent's luxurious houseboat) up at Lake Oroville with my favorite girls and their hubbies. We have so much fun together and spend our days....well, doing whatever we want. That mostly translated to the girls laying around and gabbing until the sun goes down, and the boys drinking beer and playing horseshoes! We had fabulous meals, intense speed uno games, amazing connection and conversation, and enough laughter to tide us over until next time. These girls are my life! They are my history. They have seen me fall in love, get married, have a child, and they have journeyed with me EVERY step of the way. I wouldn't be me without them. My life is better because of them. My heart is full.

Davis/Kortman weekend in the desert

To say that I am blessed by my family is an absolute understatement! The Davis family is RICH with a heritage of amazing, God fearing people that have come before me. In addition to this, I am surrounded by the next generation of Davis' that will carry the torch. The girls of the family decided it was time for a little R & R out in the desert. The matriarchs of the group (Crystal, Connie, and Les) found us the perfect house to get away to and put together an incredible weekend of fellowship, yummy food, lots of laughter, and some amazing time of spiritual fellowship and devotion. We read lots of books and magazines, watched movies in the movie room, went out to a yummy dinner at Tommy Bahama, and shopped till we dropped. It was a weekend I will never forget and I can't wait to do it again soon!

16 weeks AND it's a BOY!

We are having another boy! I could not be more thrilled that Dillan is going to have a little brother. They are going be wrestling buddies, partners in crime, and pretty much melt every heart out there. We went to our 16 week appt and asked our doc to sneak us in to take a peek. The baby's legs were crossed at first, but a little prodding, and he revealed the goods! We have a couple of names in mind, but haven't decided for sure, so we will let you all know when the decision is final:) The one thing I know for sure is we are going to be saving A LOT of money by having another boy!
I am a couple of weeks late on this post, but I am trying my hardest to keep these belly pictures up to date:) Tomorrow, I am 18 weeks and feeling good! I have definitely "popped" and am totally starting to show. Can't sleep on my tummy anymore:( Dillan loves to give the baby kisses all the time, which pretty much just makes me want to cry every time. I dont' think he quite gets what he is doing, but he gets a good reaction, which makes him come back for more! Now that I am showing and we know that it is a boy, this is all starting to feel more real.....AND I COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED FOR BABY #2!

16 weeks! There is a baby boy in there:)
