Mackenzie's nursery

Well, it finally came together! For starting so late in the game, Mackenzie's nursery came together right before she arrived. We decided to go with a pink and gray theme and I seriously am IN LOVE with how it turned out. I love sitting in there....it's so peaceful. I saw a blog that had these vinyl strips on the walls and really liked them so we ordered some of those. The frames were a collection from Homegoods, Hobby Lobby, and gifts from friends. Her bedding was a gift from Oly and PJ from Restoration Hardware. The rug was a gift from my mom, Auntie Jordy, and Auntie Whitna from PB Kids. And the chair, my favorite part of the room, was an early Christmas present from Papa and Yaya. It's a Little Castle, rocker/recliner and it is seriously the most comfortable chair ever! It is still so surreal to walk in there and see all the PINK! I love it.........

Our baby girl is here.....introducing Mackenzie Nicole Olson

I feel very confident that our little girl is going to have a mind of her own! I was told on the Monday before her birth that I was dialated to a 3 and that she would probably be born in the next day or so. Well.....after a LONG week of waiting, we ended up getting induced on Saturday, the 19th. This actually ended up working out great because my Dr. got to deliver her and I had a plan for the boys. This was by far my easiest and most smooth delivery. Dusty and I woke up and got to the hospital by 7:00. I was hooked up to an IV and started Pitocin around 8:00. My Dr came in at 10:30 and broke my water and I was still at a 3. About 30 mins later I started to feel contractions and a couple hours after that I got an epidural. I was then so much more comfortable and able to just rest and relax. Around 1:00 my nurse checked me and I was a 7. At 2:30 I was a 10. They called my Dr and she got there and after three contractions, little Mackenzie Nicole entered the world at 3:11 pm. She weighed 8 lbs and 6 ozs and was 19.5 inches long. She had LOTS of brown hair and looked a lot like Connor. My whole experience was so amazing and I can't describe it, but there is something so different and amazing about having a baby girl. When the Dr laid Kenz on my chest, I instantly had a new best friend! The love I have for her is out of this world! She is half Dusty and half me and I am in awe of God's perfect plan. I had my cheering squad in the room, which made it really special, and the boys got to come see her a few hours after she was born. Dillan was soooooo cute with her and Connor, well he said hi and moved on with his life:) HAHA! We are adjusting to being a family of 5. Mackenzie is such a champ. She is already back at her birth weight and sleeping 4-5 hour stretches at night. The boys are adjusting. They are great with her, but continue to to have WWE about every 10 minutes which can be a little draining. Dusty is pretty much super husband and is such a huge help with the boys, keeping the house clean for his OCD wife, and being a doting father to his baby girl. I am pretty much the luckiest girl alive. I have three amazing children and I feel so blessed! Enjoy some pics of one of my happiest days!

1st day of Preschool

Well, the time has come. My first born son is off to school....well two days of preschool that is:) Oh man, I can HARDLY believe it! We absolutely LOVE Dillan's preschool, Grace Christian. It is only 5 minutes from our house and Dillan really loves his teacher, Mrs. Middleton. My timid first born of course had his reservations, but after about a month, he has found his rhythm and really loves it. He has made a couple buddies, Drake and Jude, and it is so fun to hear him talk about what he has learned. Can't wait to see what the year brings for him....share days, Christmas performance, field trips, and much more. Love this boy of mine and am so very proud of him!

Mackenzie's Baby Shower

My girlfriends threw a beautiful shower for Mackenzie and I. All the little touches were so cute and it was so surreal to see so much PINK at a shower! Opening up all the gifts, and especially seeing all the clothes made this whole thing a lot more REAL! The girls truly outdid themselves and hosted an amazing tea with the most yummy food....quiches, cinnamon rolls, fruit, and more. So blessed by the ladies I do life with. Thank you for spoiling us!

How cute is everything??
