It's beginning to look a lot like.....

CHRISTMAS! My favorite time of year:) Every year we kick the season off with going to Home Depot the weekend after Thanksgiving to get our tree! It's such a fun day because we go full on and get our tree and Dusty rents the extension ladder, and puts all of our lights up, and we decorate the house and the tree! We order pizza every year and then watch the Polar Express as a family. I LOVE THIS TRADITION! Each year gets better and better as the boys get older and fall more in love with the season. At this point, I am pretty sure I am still way more obsessed than they are:)

San Diego Getaway

After Thanksgiving we headed down to San Diego for an Olson Family weekend getaway to celebrate PJ's birthday. We stayed at the Marriott on Liberty Station and had SUCH A BLAST! The hotel was right in Pt Loma, so Dusty and I were back at our old stomping grounds. It was super nostalgic to be back where it all began for us. We had a fabulous day at the zoo and lots of fun as a family together! Love seeing all the cousins together and especially PJ and Oly in action....they are the best!

Enter His Courts with Thanksgiving....

I love Thanksgiving for so many reasons, but mostly for the chance to gather together with family and share awesome time together. Oh.....and the FOOD!!!!!! This is the 3rd year we have hosted Thanksgiving and we love it! This year we had the pleasure of joining our families and my parents were able to come to our house with the Olson gang. I made my own brine this year and soaked my turkey for a whole day! It was SOOOO delicious! Everyone pitched in and brought stuff and the meal came together perfectly. The weather was so gorgeous and it allowed us to eat outside. My kiddos took naps so we were actually able to enjoy a nice, quiet, relaxing meal. As we do every year, we went around a shared what we were thankful for and it was SUCH a special time. Tears flowed, laughter was had, and memories were made. This year I am most thankful for my husband and EVERYTHING he does for our family. I am also full of gratitude for the fact that Jesus chose ME to be Dillan and Connor's mommy.....how lucky am I? I am surrounded by the most awesome boys in the world.
