Christmas with the Olson's

We celebrated Christmas at Oly and PJ's the day after Christmas and it was SO MUCH fun. Chuck and Pattie's new house is so great and the kids just love exploring and playing with all the toys Peej has accumulated. Charlie and Dillan are quite the pair and have so much fun together. It's quite a full house with 6 grandkids now. Oly and PJ led the older kids on an awesome Nativity Scavenger hunt. They went all around looking for pieces to the nativity scene with hints from PJ. It was seriously the cutest thing ever! We opened lots of gifts and had so much fun. Dillan got a new Razor scooter and an awesome magician set and Connor got some awesome new clothes and a new pirate puzzle that he can't get enough of! It was so special being together as family. We also got to celebrate with Papa and GG which is always a highlight and we got to celebrate GG's birthday!

Christmas Day

We woke up in our home on Christmas Day. Of course Dusty and I were up before the kids cuz we were so excited. The magic of this season is just so special at this age. We made our coffee, turned all the Christmas lights on, lit candles, turned on the Christmas music, started breakfast and then just waited for them to get up:) They finally woke up and it was SO AWESOME! We opened stockings first and every little thing was like "THIS IS JUST WHAT I WANTED!!!!!!!!" That kind of reaction makes all the hustle and bustle worth it. After presents we ate a really yummy breakfast and Dust read us the Christmas story out of the Bible. Since it felt like summer out, we put our shorts and shirts on and headed up to Papa and Yaya's! Dan and Ann were up with us this year, and so were Drew and Jordyn so it was a full house:) Always love being with family! It was another Christmas for the memory books!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was so special this year. We stayed home which was so nice. It gets to be pretty crazy shuffling around our brood from house to house during the holidays that it felt so nice to stay put on Christmas Eve. We attended our church's candlelight service with Oly and PJ and then came back and had an amazing dinner fixed by Dusty. He slaved making Barefoot Contessa's Beef Bourgeon and mashed potatoes. We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and feasted on some yummy cake and ice cream, and then we left food for the reindeer and set cookies and milk out for Santa. It is so magical to start all these traditions with the kids. The boys were just THRILLED! Such a special evening.....
